Atomic Rose Grand Opening Weekend Raises Over $2,200 For Friends For Life

MEMPHIS, Tenn., September 16, 2019 – Atomic Rose’s Grand Opening Celebration and Friends For Life Fundraisers held September 6 through 8 featured some of the biggest names in LGBTQ+ entertainment and raised more than $2,200 for the Memphis-based organization dedicated to preventing the spread of HIV and helping those affected by HIV/AIDS live well. Friends For Life Fundraisers included a Bearlesque show Friday featuring entertainer Eric Leue. Leue is best known as Mr. L.A. Leather 2014, an HIV/LGBTQQIA Activist, and Model for The Hunger Games Capitol propaganda poster, “District Heroes.” Proceeds from Friday night’s cover charges and purchases of the Atomic Rose Signature drink, The Atomic 806, were donated to Friends for Life as were cover charges from Wednesday, September 4; Thursday, September 5; and Sunday, September 8.

“We were extremely excited to partner with Friends For Life for our grand opening weekend,” says Valerie Morris, spokesperson for the owner. “Giving back to the community is a core value at Atomic Rose, and we look forward to supporting various diverse organizations in Memphis for many years to come.”

A top talent drag show took place Saturday, September 7 with world-renowned drag queens Akasha Cassadine; The Princess, star of RuPaul’s Drag Race and entertainer at PLAY in Nashville; Coco Flores, Keleigh Klarke, and Bella DuBalle. The two-day event also included progressive dance and house music from DJ Wolfy, karaoke, food and drink specials, and drew visitors of all ages and backgrounds from across the region to Memphis’ newest and hottest dance club.
