Caesars Entertainment, Horseshoe Tunica, and Tunica Roadhouse Kick Off Breast Cancer Awareness Month Today

TUNICA, Miss., September 30, 2016 – Caesars Entertainment, Horseshoe Tunica, and Tunica Roadhouse held their Breast Cancer Awareness Month Kickoff Event today.

Approximately 40 employees joined a health walk this morning at 9:00 a.m. as part of an employee health and education event. After the walk, employees learned how low energy workouts are easy to work into their daily routines and promote good health and a healthy lifestyle. The employees all wore their pink Breast Cancer Awareness shirts, which are also available for purchase at Horseshoe Tunica and Tunica Roadhouse with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society.

“October is a big month for us as we are all very passionate about supporting the American Cancer Society and breast cancer awareness. We support the American Cancer Society throughout the year through volunteering and donations, but we are really focused on it in October with our month-long efforts culminating with our largest fundraiser for the ACS, the Battle of the Bras on Friday, October 28,” said R. Scott Barber, Regional President, Caesars Mid-South.

Other breast cancer awareness related efforts from Caesars Mid-South, Horseshoe Tunica, and Tunica Roadhouse include employee events throughout the month; Horseshoe Tunica will turn pink for the month of October; educational seminars will be provided for employees and guests on cancer detection, prevention, and treatments throughout the month; pink table felts in use on table games; pink t-shirts for employees and guests with proceeds from sales benefitting the American Cancer Society; and Battle of the Bras, a whale of a fundraising event where male celebrity models put on a fashion show wearing decorated bras on Friday, October 28 benefitting the American Cancer Society.
