Caesars Entertainment Mid-South and Horseshoe Tunica Kick Off Breast Cancer Awareness Month and their Campaign for a Cause with an Employee Health and Education Event

TUNICA, Miss., October 8, 2019 – Caesars Entertainment Mid-South and Horseshoe Tunica kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month and their annual Campaign for Cause October 2 with an employee health education event.

Caesars Mid-South and Horseshoe Tunica employees gathered Wednesday, October 2 outside the Caesars Mid-South Wellness Center with Dustin Starr and the American Cancer Society to enjoy breakfast and receive educational material about cancer and overall wellness. Free Mammograms were also available thanks to the Methodist Mobile Mammography unit.

The employees all wore their Breast Cancer Awareness shirts, which are available for purchase at Horseshoe Tunica and Tunica Roadhouse with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society. Cancer Awareness shirts are available in short-sleeve, long-sleeve, and hoodies.

“October is an exciting month for us as we are all dedicated and passionate about supporting the American Cancer Society and breast cancer awareness. Though we support the American Cancer Society throughout the year through volunteering and donations, we are really motivated in October with our month-long efforts concluding with our largest fundraiser for the ACS, the Battle of the Bras on Friday, November 1,” said R. Scott Barber, Regional President, Caesars Mid-South.

Caesars Mid-South has embraced Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the past seven years with the Battle of the Bras event as well as cancer awareness table felts in use on table games at Horseshoe Tunica and Tunica Roadhouse; distribution of breast cancer awareness pins to all employees; employees wearing cancer awareness shirts on designated days in October; educational seminars for employees and guests on cancer detection, prevention, and treatments throughout the month; and employee, customer and social media awareness campaigns.
