Leadership Memphis Adds Three Team Members to Achieve Long-Term Objectives
MEMPHIS, TENN., October 29, 2019 – Leadership Memphis, whose mission is to prepare and mobilize leaders to work together for the good of the whole community, recently welcomed Alex Middleton as Director of Programs, Austin Hasenmueller as Alumni Engagement Coordinator, and Candace Taylor as Special Projects and Events Coordinator. The roles are part of the organization’s long-term strategic plan to provide ground-breaking programs and action initiatives that develop community change agents, connect them with others who have a passion for serving, and empower them with information and opportunities to make a difference.

We look forward to incorporating their talents into our already well-established team as we develop and expand our programs and initiatives to ensure we are providing thought-provoking content, high-impact/action-oriented community projects, and unique experiences for all of our participants, alumni, and supporters.”
As Director of Programs, Middleton will be responsible for the advancement of the Leadership Memphis mission through best-in-class programs in the organization’s portfolio, including the Executive and FastTrack programs. A graduate of The University of the South, Middleton joins the Leadership Memphis team from Bridges U.S.A., where she most recently served as Training Manager. Previous roles include Curriculum and Training Coordinator, Recruitment and Program Specialist, and AmeriCorps Facilitation Specialist, also with Bridges U.S.A.
As Alumni Engagement Coordinator, Hasenmueller will be responsible for implementing activities, programs, services, and communications that reach, serve, and engage current and future Leadership Memphis alumni. A graduate of Samford University, Hasenmueller joins the Leadership Memphis team from First Horizon National Corporation, where she served as Wellness First Marketing and Public Relations Representative.
As Special Projects and Events Coordinator, Taylor will work directly with Jared Bulluck, Senior Director of Operations, and Andrea Hill, Director of Volunteer Memphis, to develop, plan, and oversee all aspects of alumni, volunteer, and program event and special project planning and management, both internally and externally. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Taylor joins the Leadership Memphis team from Power Center CDC, where she served as Executive Director. She previously worked with Leadership Memphis as Education Advisor for Graduate Memphis, where she was responsible for facilitatingworkshops, recruitment activities, and special events.
Middleton, Hasenmueller, and Taylor join the established and dedicated team of professionals at Leadership Memphis, which includes David Williams – President/CEO, Jared Bulluck – Senior Director of Operations, Andrea Hill – Director of Volunteer Memphis, and Shantile Franklin – Operations Coordinator.
