MEMPHIS, TENN., September 6, 2016 – Morris Marketing Group placed their bets against cancer at their September happy hour event on September 1, 2016. The happy hour was casino themed, giving guests the opportunity to raise money for the University of Tennessee West Institute and West Cancer Center while placing their bets against cancer and promoting the West Fight On – Cycle, Run, Walk event that will take place on September 17, 2016 at Shelby Farms Park.
“We thoroughly enjoy being able to host our monthly happy hours that allow our clients, friends, and the Memphis community to come together and network in a fun atmosphere. Our monthly events allow for collaboration with one another and give everyone the chance to engage with others in their community,” said Valerie Morris, President of Morris Marketing Group. “This month we promoted our client West Cancer Center and their event, West Fight On – Cycle, Run, Walk while raising money in their honor.”
Adding to the casino theme, guests were greeted by Elisia Webster who was dressed as a Las Vegas show girl. Guests placed their bets against cancer with the help of HERO volunteers from Horseshoe Tunica and Tunica Roadhouse Casinos and in return had the chance to win one of the grand prizes provided by Kirby Wine and Liquors, Owen Brennan’s, Corky’s, Horseshoe Casino & Hotel Tunica and Tunica Roadhouse Casino & Hotel. A variety of food was catered by Owen Brennan’s, including red beans and rice, bourbon street burgers, jambalaya and more. Drinks were provided at Bar 456 by Kirby Wine and Liquors.
